Mixture instead of pure Latin canon
For us, Modern Jive is a Fusion made from swing, salsa, tango, WCS, bachata and more — with simple steps. You get breadth and your own Berlin character.
Rhythm without hip drill at the start
Salsa/bachata often require rhythm and hip technique early on. Modern Jive deliberately starts easier — figures and footwork first, musicality grows with you. It’s good when complex basics keep you from doing it.
Coming alone
There is also rotation on Latin Nights — but partner rotation is normal for us from day one. You don’t have to bring anyone with you.
