Tango thrives on tight frames and musicality. Modern Jive also offers guided couple dancing and connection — in a relaxed atmosphere, with changing partners and without a dress code. Starting with Improver/Intermediate, Connection is deliberately deepened.
Mix including tango elements
Modern Jive is a fusion of many styles for us — tango is one of them, in addition to swing, salsa, toilets and more. Related ideas can appear in figures and technology.
Easy start
Easy and without a permanent partner — come sporty and comfortable, “come as you are”. It’s good if you’re interested in tango but the scene seems too formal at first.
Pop, disco, soul — all tempos
Focus on pop, disco and soul — from quiet, lyrical songs to funky-expressive tracks. Modern Jive adapts to the tempo, slowly or quickly. Sometimes we also dance surprises such as metal or dubstep. For extra quiet evenings: SmoothurSday on Thursdays (Intermediate).
